  • Charlie Brock is the Basketball Director for GoPlay Sports Tours.

  • After 45 years of coaching, through six decades, Brock retired from his position as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Springfield College in May 2022.

  • Brock held the position at the Home of Basketball for 24 years and was longest tenured and winningest men's basketball coach in program history.

  • He is also one of just 15 coaches to coach at Springfield.

  • At the time of his retirement, Brock ranked fourth among Division III active coaches in career victories with 586 over his 42-year head coaching career.

  • Brock was awarded the NABC Guardian of the Game Award for Advocacy in 2016, reflecting his standing in the sport.

  • In 2018 Brock succeeded University of Kansas head coach Bill Self as president of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

  • Brock also served five years on the NCAA Men’s Basketball Rules Committee

  • He was President of the NABC for the 2018-19 academic year and chairman of NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Committee in 2010.

  • Led Springfield College to the NCAA Championship Tournament seven times.

  • Brock reached the 20-win plateau six times throughout his career, including during the in 2017-18, when the Pride went 22-9 and reached the NCAA Division III Championship Final Four.

  • Named NEWMAC Coach of the Year twice (2000, 2010) and SCAC Coach of the Year in 1998.

  • Winner of the Glenn Robinson Award (awarded to the Division III National Coach of the Year) in 2019

  • Led the Pride to the NCAA Championship Tournament’s Sweet 16 for the first time in program history after a record of 21-9 during the 1999-2000 season.

  • Chair of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Committee in 2009 and headed up a committee that decided who played in the 2010 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament.

  • Traveled extensively throughout the world and helped educate fellow coaches and athletes internationally in Venezuela, Taiwan, Japan and Estonia.
